Kat Lessin, owner of Life by My Design and Chapter Consultant for the South Coast announced the opening of a new chapter in Oxnard, CA.  This chapter will meet on Tuesday at 11:45 to 1 PM, starting on November 29, 2011.  The Director is Ann McKillican with Prudential Realty, Southern California with Sophia Grijalva of MaryKay Skin Care/Color signed on as Assistant Director.  They currently have 16 business men and women signed up to attend the November 29th meeting.  This is going to be  a high powered Chapter looking at the business categories represented in the initial group.

 Jennifer Henry, LAc,  the Acupuncture Lady does an excellent job @ filling in for the Director when necessary. Jennifer is the Assistant Director for the SB Wednesday PM Co Ed chapter and a stong, supportive energy in this chapter.   She also is very appreciative of the Leads Club experience.  She feels it has tremendously improved her presentation and networking abilities.  Congratulations Jennifer!

After her Chapter Consultant visit on July 28, Nanci Elliott with Mary Kay Cosmetics, www.marykay.com/nancielliott selected Dianna Pierson with Story of my Life, www.storyofmylife.com  as the Spotlight member.  Dianna does an excellent job as Co-ordinator and sends out  a fabulous email reviewing speakers topics and content; thanking visitors for attending and inviting them to come again; and announcing upcoming speakers.  Congratulations Dianna!  I have received your post meeting review and it is amazing.  You richly deserve this recognition.

Well it was a full house at the Santa Barbara Wednesday Women’s lunch this month, all members were present and we were joined by 3 visitors; Andrea Caplen with CAbi, Lisa McCollum with Considerate Done and James Witmer with CORT (Computer Oriented Real Estate Technology).

We heard from Gina Fiedel of Fat Eyes Design, www.fateyes.com who spoke about ‘finding your spot and being open to it being different than your original idea.”  I was very moved and grateful to have been at the meeting to hear her joy and wisdom.  Joyce Carlisle, Personal Trainer, www.FitnessCoach.biz who did a show and tell (with member/volunteer Dr. Crystal Galvan with Crystal Chiropractic, www.dr-cc.com ) of how to properly work shoulders, upper back and arm.  I found it very informative to have the body posture demonstrated for each of these.  Sloane Reali, Certified Vocal Coach, www.vocalcoachingbysloane.com who had us breathing, toning (high, low and middle) and appreciating that “if we can talk, we can sing” and how empowering that can be for us.

Trophy presentation went to Sarah Wildwood of Prudential California Realty, www.SarahWildwood.com for giving the most Leads, 8 outside – great job Sarah.

Rock on Rock Stars!

The second Thursday of each month is the dayI get to attend the Santa Barbara lunch CoEd chapter.  I love visiting this chapter, they are sweet; dynamic, professional, knowledgeable and on their game yet always very sweet.  I just feel Good getting to spend time in their company.

Our speaker today was Dani Piola with Zen Diva Spa, www.zendivaspa.com  who spoke about and demostrated the Galvanic Spa treatment on one half of member, Steve Douglas of Golf Tec, face.  It was quite amazing, the difference was easy to see in just 10 minutes.  Even Steve had to say he looked much ‘prettier’ – at least half of him did.

There were two visitors, Matt Clark with Global Information Network and Rodney Watson with Unique Movers.

Jessica Rae with Santa Barbara Axxess, www.sbaxxess.com was awarded the trophy for 4 outside Leads  and Charlie Mitchell, Republic Lighting Services, www.charlietheelectrician.com was my choice for Spotlight member.  Charlie is very near a perfect Leads member, bringing in visitors, supporting the membership in their businesses and giving gratitude for the Leads he receives.  He also support his chapter at other networking events, announcing the business categories the chapter is actively looking  for to join their membership.

I am so fortunate to get to visit the chapters in my area.  It is always fun and interesting and my visit to the Santa Barbara Wednesday lunch Co-Ed chapter was not exception. We heard from long standing member Will Jones, William H. Jones, CPA.  Will is calm and whisical as he asked us to look at how we can protect our assests and our children from a tax point of view.  I was very clear that my highest good is Will’s intention when it comes to getting the most out of the money I have.

I was then challenged by Niels Johnson-Lameijer, Life Mastery Coach, to close my eyes, look into the future and see where I want to be in 5 years.  He then asked that we speak to why we wanted to be in that place.  Niels’ 10 minute talk was very powerful and supportive.  His capability in guiding, supporting & coaching  his clients to get where they want to be was very obvious.  This guy is Good!.  I, also selected Niels as the Spotlight member because he made a stellar effort to be at this meeting, catching the train from LA to SB and ‘flying’ to the University Club to be on time for the start of the meeting.  Way to make your Leads Club member know meeting with them is a priority for you!

Then, as a bonus, I got to welcome a new member, Erick Wolf of Jane de Veer State Farm, to this group.

I am happy to welcome David Machacek to the SB Thursday lunch, Co Ed chapter.  David is a Financial Services Specialist with Independent Capital Management, Inc, www.icmfinancial.com and can be reached at 805 484 1011 x 157.  In my new member interview with David, I found him to be highly motivated to learn about each of the current members and make referrals  between them and his clients.  He is looking to build his ability to connect these high quality professionals with his clients who trust him to take care of them.  I am excited to watch and be a part of David’s growth within this chapter.

Ginny Milhoun with Milhoun Chiropractic was selected by Nanci Elliott, Chapter Consultant as Spotlight member of the month.  Ginny received a a Leads Club Gold Star award with a lovely card for Perfect Attendance for the past 6 months.  This is truly Spotlight recognition worthy.  We all can have many things going on yet Ginny made getting to her 7:15 AM Leads meeting a priority.  Congratulations and Thank you Ginny.  You serve as a role model for all of us.
